Volunteer Experience includes:

• Organized, packaged, and distributed food for both the San Diego Food Bank and Community Food Connection. Involves moving heavy items to designated areas, and organizing those items per a supervisor's preference.
• Led and supervised young children at community art and family events; interacting with diverse patrons, representing the organization.
• Participated in the organization and redistribution of heavy items across large areas: rearranging furniture and shelving at thrift shops, packing and unpacking stands at public markets, sorting items and removing trash at school-sponsored garage sales.

• An important intermediate between a large program's students and its director: understanding a director's expectations and needs, communicating those needs and leading by example, directing students per those expectations, and being the first one to answer any questions.
• Focused on rebuilding band culture by breaking cliques and incorporating activities which included younger members.
• Fostered positive relationships among section members through teamwork-building activities during rehearsals and downtime at performances or events.
• Led and participated in efforts to prepare performance spaces both before and after performances and rehearsals.
