EXCIMER LASER REPAIR CORP
01.2009 - Current
Company Overview: Supplier of excimer laser consumables that provides the support of Cymer products.
Devise, fabricate, and implement a compact laser beam metrology tool. This device provides twice the resolution of the Cymer unit, is one quarter the size, and installs in five minutes vs. 30 minutes for beam diagnostics.
Completion of an insertable power meter from concept, this reduced calibration errors to less than 1 percent vs. 3 percent. The results from using this device include longer module life and a 10% lower cost of ownership.
Senior Laser Project Engineer
STROMA MEDICAL CORP
01.2009 - 01.2015
Company Overview: Ophthalmic startup company that provides a novel eye enhancement.
Install new technology for noninvasive proprietary eye procedure at facility for FDA approval of patient procedure. Systems are currently in clinical testing outside US.
Fabricate from concept a complete electro-optic-mechanical laser system. This included procurement of electrical, optical and mechanical components in addition to the layout and their interconnection.
Two complete 10 kHz laser systems were built, one with a 1064nm laser, and the other with a 527nm laser used to observe their effect on the eye.
These systems were completed with minimal outside resources and in less than six months as the result of one person handling the design, fabrication, and integration vs. several people.
Led system integration projects to ensure seamless functionality across optical systems.
Developed and implemented integration protocols for complex optical technologies.
Advanced Products Engineer
