I've worked as a Substation electrician/ Foreman/ General Foremen for the last 22 years. I have vast experience with High voltage switching, switchgear, transformers, breakers, wiring, AC and DC circuits, utility work in general. I was
a leadman for 10 years where I directed day to day assignments of crew members production, safety, and performance. I'm use to working in environments with changing conditions and making adjustments to those changes. The last 5 years I've worked on the Contracting side and have enjoyed the new challenges that come along with it. I have navigated my way through numerous projects with great reviews and Zero safety events for my crews or myself which is something I'm proud of. During my time at Par I was on the safety committee were I learned alot. I represented their substation crews for 3 years.
I'm currently working as a foreman running a crews that's rebuilding Substations for Evergy. We have worked on various projects from small task to total rebuild of their Substations. I just recently finished major project for a Substation that feeds North Kansas City and their hospital. It was a year long project that we finished ahead schedule with great reviews form the project managers.
I started as Journeyman with Par before working my way up to General Foreman. I performed various job assignments. Everything from Substation maintenance to green field substations. I handled all of their major projects for Evergy in that time frame. I also led A couple of their green field projects for Liberties Utility.
While working for Evergy/KCP&L I went through their Substation Electrician apprenticeship. Where I learned all the inner workings of substation work. We performed all the maintenance, construction, operating, and trouble shooting. I have worked in every District on the Legacy KCPL for multiply years in each with working knowledge of the hazards and equipment. I lead crews in @ different districts for 10 plus years.
