Market Leader, Branch and Small Business Banking, Missouri/Arkansas

  • Promoted during the Bank of the Future alignment initiative. Executive leader responsible for the overall performance and strategic direction in the Missouri/Arkansas market. This includes overseeing consumer and small business banking operations, sales, profitability, driving growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with banking operations.
  • Recent performance and leadership highlights include:
  • Lead the third largest BSBB revenue team with over $740mm in P.P.I., 174 locations at one point, and over 850 teammates. We are currently leading the East with revenue to plan.
  • Serve as the Managing Market Leader working closely with all other business lines contributing to the largest revenue contribution market in the U.S. Bank footprint.
  • Responsible for 1.2 million consumers and 200,000 small business customers.
  • Improved market share from #3 to #1 in the first two years, strategically working closely to restore/repair our reputation with key relationships and business lines.
  • Recognized by the Head of CBB for rebuilding the market performance in key metrics and market share which had been in a ten-year decline until 2022.
  • Our market is considered a model for interconnectivity and routinely asked to speak to other leaders across the footprint on how to work together to improve growth and performance.
  • Work closely with our Government Affairs team utilizing my relationship with key Congressional leaders, e.g. Chairman French Hill – House Financial Services Committee.
  • Worked as the Market Leader Chair for the new Scorecard team responsible for developing and implementing the current performance scorecard used throughout BSBB.
  • Worked closely with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and Wealth management providing insight and inspiration which led to the Wealth Pop-Up model used today. The increased referral results were highly successful bank wide and shared at U.S. Bank’s Investor Connect. The same technology is being vetted by other lines of business. PWC has since reached out several times for insights and feedback on other projects.
  • Recipient of the SBA annual award for the largest growth in closings for 2022 and 2023.
  • Junior Achievement Arkansas of the Year award in 2023 for community service work.

Regional President, State of Arkansas (Little Rock)

  • Relocated to Arkansas to realign and rebuild the regional team, including the retail branch network, small business, business banking, commercial, commercial real estate, and wealth management. Within the first year, loan balances grew by over 5.5%, which had been consistently in decline. Additionally, employee engagement increased 12% during the first year. Through focused coaching and accountability routines, the region has since become a consistent performer, exceeding financial performance in P.P.I., deposits and loans in consecutive years.
  • Other recent performance and leadership highlights include:
  • Achieved the highest positive customer growth in the division for 2021.
  • Strong partnership engagement led to revenue outpacing all regions.
  • Deposits grew 19% and exceeded the 5-year Cumulative Annual Growth Rate of 8.59%.
  • TM (Treasury Management) and Payments met revenue plan for four consecutive years.
  • Top Equipment Finance Team of all regions and Top Small Business, Business Banking and CRE Team in the division.
  • Created the Best of the Bank Mortgage Onboarding: implemented bank-wide in 2022, the pilot increased centrality from 10% to 56%, now used by the National Sales Team.
  • Served as team leader for the Growth Market Ambassadors (18 markets) comprised of over 400 locations across the footprint and 40% of total revenue of all community banking.
  • Served on the Legends of Possible Design team which impacts all U.S. Bank teammates.

Regional President, Mid-Missouri (Colombia)

  • Promoted and relocated to Missouri to rebuild the regional team, including the retail branch network, small business, business banking, commercial and commercial real estate. The team had experienced the recent retirement of the Regional President and, lost the commercial team leader along with 50% of the small business/business banking team. Employee engagement increased in the first year by 11% and declined by 26%. Retail branches experienced their first campaign wins and achieved new customer growth of 154% of plan. The small/business banking team had the highest loan balance growth in all regions at 34.4%. A commercial real estate team was also developed during this time, first segmentation team for the division.

  • Hired, then quickly promoted and relocated to the Little Rock M.S.A. to lead a team of managers and sales professionals across a group of retail branches. Through focused leadership, teammate development and accountability coaching, the team quickly became one of the most accomplished retail and small/business banking districts in the company. Numerous teams from across the country were sent to shadow our culture of success. A few highlights:
  • Managed the largest district in CBB with 29 locations at the time.
  • Awarded top ranked district manager and top five consistently from 2009-2012.
  • Achieved annual Pinnacle/Legends (multi-year winner).
  • Awarded top Small/Business Banking District Manager for 2011 and 2012.
  • Served as original pilot leader for SBS’s/ B.B.R.M.’s reporting to D.M.’s
