  • Staff Engineer/ Release Manager, responsible for all aspects of deployment scheduling, planning, and controlling for the Appian and ServiceNow systems for SDLC and delivery processes.
  • Responsible for all system upgrades, patching, project and sustainment deployment delivery and coordination. 17+ ServiceNow instances / 4 Appian systems.
  • Work with all delivery teams (worldwide) to ensure they are following deployment best practices and DevOps requirements(process, naming conventions, timing, change and release rules).
  • Create, plan and coordinate all changes through corporate change board and approved change policy and process. Built preauthorized change and release model to stream line and a support agile delivery.
  • Work closely with the project development teams, testing teams, and product owners team to maintain proper coordination between these teams to ensure successful project Go-Live delivery.
  • Defined and built a SDLC/agile process to automate (custom CI/CD pipeline) for release of ServiceNow code packages to all systems.
  • Manage the communication process prior to, and at deployment time, for related operations to users, customers and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the release schedule and resources required depending upon the applications, planned releases, and/or system maintenance.
  • Identify risks that can delay a release and manage them, so the quality of the release or the production instance is not affected.
  • Document and lead monthly deployment and release activities
  • Weekly team meetings /1 on 1's with key stake individual and department leaders to ensure proper communication. Lead/Host the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
  • Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and plan for communication with necessary teams. (runbooks, team onboarding). Always working to improve the release process.
