Accomplishments

Revitalized floundering county museum using special exhibits and implementing special programs.


Implemented restoration projects on depot, one-room schoolhouse, 1937 Fire Engine, and Baldwin 485 Locomotive.


Revitalized museum yard with new grass and flower gardens after a new parking lot was added.


Collaborated with Alternative Education classroom to build exhibits, paint murals, and assist with upkeep of outdoor exhibits.


Collaborated with other Dawson County museums to create a rack card advertising all the museums in the county.


Helped Nebraska celebrate its Sesquicentennial in 2017 with special programs (Mobile Children’s Museum), exhibits (The Legacy of Nebraska: Art of Todd A. Williams), and hosted meetings of the Sesquicentennial Commission and Foundation.


Created space in an unused part of museum to connect to existing exhibits and establish space for new exhibits.


Continue to reorganize, catalogue, and digitize collections on Past Perfect Museum Software.
