Work History

In-Home Caretaker

Self-employeed
12.2022 - 06.2025
  • Put my career on pause to take care of my father during his long treatment process for Cardiomyopathy.
  • The main skill I was able to develop taking care of my father that will help me in anything I do in life was patience and understanding.
  • During this time I would do a variety of electrical side jobs and take easy part time work that would not interfere with my fathers health care.

Service Technician

Mark Andy
03.2013 - 04.2020
  • My journey at Mark Andy was a unique one. Starting as a Custodial Technician in Mark Andy's Engineering Lab I would clean printing press equipment at first, then helped run a printing press, and eventually was trusted to run an experimental printing press in its testing phase. Following specific instructions to run tests for mechanical, chemical, and electrical engineers. They even had a physicist (Kevin Manes) who preferred using me to help him with his testing.
  • After proving myself in the engineering lab I was hired on from the temp service and moved from custodial technician to electrical assembler of the manufacturing floor. I desired to learn more about the company as well as use my electrical knowledge to a higher degree. As an electrical assembler I wired up a variety of control cabinets for every model of printing press Mark Andy sold. These cabinets include plcs, vfds, transformers, various high/low voltage systems, servo control drives, etc.
  • After proving myself as an electrical assembler I was promoted to a leadman of manufacturing for a new product line combining digital and flexographic technology at the industrial level. Worked with engineering to fine tune the design and in the process developed the skills to build every aspect of the machine from top to bottom, inside and out. My initial experience in the engineering lab as a custodial technician was critical for this role.
  • Once the machine proved successful and began to sell there was a need for qualified people to install and service these machines. That's how I became a service technician. Job responsibilities included travel to customer site, working with various trades for the pre-install work required, installing the press, and conducting tests to verify proper function. Then I would gather customer signs off required and provide everyone with detailed documentation of my installation.
