Mikhail Hopkins

I'd like to say I'm a well-mannered, dedicated lifeguard with a full year and seven months of experience under my belt, along with multiple years of being on a competitive swim team. I am already incredibly familiar with various water rescues, from a simple active front rescue to deep underwater fully submerged spinal procedures. I have both shallow-water and deep-water certifications. I am able to tread water for any given duration with an above average stamina gadget in the water. I am very dependable and am eager to take on any challenges or situations that need immediate attention. I can work highly effectively under pressure, as I understand the importance of my role as a lifeguard; ensuring the safety of all patrons and maintaining the facility's stability is my first priority. I find being a lifeguard brings me a sense of fulfillment, as simply holding that title demonstrates the trust bestowed upon me to take immediate action to potentially save said person's life without having personally ever met them. If that is not an honorable title, I don't know what is. To further reinforce my competence, here is some of the many active procedures and skills I have be equip with from past experiences.

• Provided first aid care to injured patrons before paramedics arrived on scene.
• Maintained constant surveillance of patrons in the swimming area at all times.
• Inspected rescue tubes and buoys regularly to ensure they are in good condition.
• Communicated regularly with supervisors regarding any issues that arose during shifts.
• Observed swimmers from elevated chairs while scanning the entire pool deck.
• Reminded patrons to walk carefully and avoid running around or near pool edges to prevent falls.
• Kept equipment in good working order with frequent inspections and minor repairs.
• Watched over swimmers to respond quickly to distress situations.
• Patrolled to identify anyone needing assistance and offered immediate care.
• Maintained constant surveillance of pool or body of water to appropriately react to emergency situations.
• Monitored surrounding environment constantly to watch for potential risks.
