17 Years- Assisted in the establishment of this clinic and Manage the Day-to-Day operations of the Clinic. Assist with 2 additional Clinics when the need arises.
- Review of patient’s medical history to ensure records complete, verify medications and present status.
- Work with Insurance Companies and Workers Comp to establish prior authorization for procedures, medications and treatment alternatives.
- Coding and Chart audits for the Clinic and Hospital. Consistently ensuring proper coding, diagnosis, and procedure sequencing, clarifying when needed.
- Performed basic patient care and treatment, including triage, taking temperature and blood pressure, blood draws, injections, dressing wounds for wound care clinic and assisting Doctor with procedures and patient education.
- Autoclaving instruments, sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies to keep patients and healthcare team members safe from infection.
- Perform general office tasks, including answering multiple phone lines, scheduling, referrals, records transfers and facility coordination while ensuring HIPAA compliance and Patient confidentiality.
- Recording patient data in electronic medical records patient files keeping track of patient information from interviews regarding symptoms, medications, and previous treatments and outcomes, vital signs, as well as Doctors Orders.
- Take samples such as blood, sputum and urine to complete diagnostic and routine assessment tests. Run in-house labs test when needed. Perform EKGs
- Handle all Nurse calls and call-backs for this clinic which often times has multiple doctors in house.
- Conference with Doctor regarding patient care. Set up Tele Visits and followup plan.
- Administered oral medications, intramuscular injections, and intravenous fluids per Doctors orders.
