I help unloading pumpkins from the trucks to the church ground.

Four Saturdays a year, I participate in this program with students in my high school program to clean up a 2-mile section of a highway on Two Notch Road close to my high school.

I help students younger or at the same age as me in subjects that they struggle with. I can speak Vietnamese fluently. The students I have been tutoring come from Vietnam where Vietnamese is our mother tongue. I find that it is beneficial for them and I to be able able to communicate in both English and Vietnamese. For example, anything they find it hard to understand in English, we can switch to Vietnamese. This helps them understand the vocabulary better and quicker. It also encourages me to strengthen my Vietnamese.
