I act as the point person for all things regarding AP style and fact-checking. I assist copy staff and other writers with any questions they have about AP style or editing. I am in charge of keeping the copy staff on track to finish all our work by the end of our production period.

Reviewed and edited content for correct grammar and style. Reached out to work with section editors on tasks that didn't go through our normal editing process.

Gave me professional experience in a newsroom and allowed me to perfect my writing, editing, and interviewing skills. Due to my copy editing experience, I was asked to proof articles and special issues before production.

Co-wrote two full stories for every issue on top of contributing to the visuals associated with each article.
