I worked in high end fly fishing retail as well as guided trips and travel. I started as a guide and doing beginners classes for adults an children as well as working in the store. Over the years, I became the manager and helped grow the business as we moved to a larger and more prominent location as well as expanded the travel business to about a dozen annual trips all over the world. During this time I also guided many of our customers on local flyfishing trips all over Massachusetts. These customers became loyal as the business grew and bought travel packages and gear for decades. I also started a local initiative to raise money for stocking the local river with trout and planning cleanups each year, This river is now a popular fishing spot for locals and a place where kids learn to fish. I really enjoyed helping new customers become dedicated anglers, who eventually spent a lot of money trying out new types of equipment as well as upgrading their gear.
