Selected to the Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) Program at the NIH, a competitive one year research fellowship. Joined a laboratory focused on identifying new diagnostic & therapeutic approaches in severe asthma. Studied mice model of severe asthma (unresponsive to corticosteroids). Identified apolipoprotein E (ApoE) as potential treatment of asthma. Collected Exhaled Breath Condensate (EBC) from severe asthma patients and conducted proteomic analysis of the condensate.
