My name is Milla, and I’m 16 years old, I’m a Sophomore at Mountain View High School. Home of the Toros!! For the past two years, I’ve been working for my mom, Teresa Waas, gaining valuable experience in responsibility, time management, and work ethic. To add on to that, during the summer months for a year, I’ve worked part-time as a freelance gardener, going to neighboring houses and helping residents with any garden-related tasks they need assistance with. This has given me hands-on experience in problem-solving, working independently, and managing my own schedule.
No matter what job I take on, I always put in my best effort. I consider myself a hard worker who is willing to take on any task with fully focused mindset. I also make sure to be punctual no matter the circumstances. Another strength of mine is my ability to listen and learn quickly. Whether I’m receiving instructions, or training for a new and task at hand, I take in details carefully, which helps me improve my skills and adapt efficiently to different situations.
One challenge I face is balancing my work schedule with school hours, but I’m determined to make it work. My school day ends at 3:15 PM, so therefore I’m available from 3:30 on.
