Internship required for the Digital Curation Certificate program at Johns Hopkins University. Currently developing a Collections Management Policy and Digital Preservation Plan for a newfound non-profit, both from the ground-up. The two documents revolve heavily around NAGPRA and Stage legislation. Will also be deciding upon the most optimal Collections Management Software.
Researched, designed, and installed a permanent gallery on the earliest inhabitants of Rowan County spanning the Paleoindian Period to the Revolutionary War. Habitually create temporary exhibits, such as the History of Cheerwine. Handle all incoming gifts and loans. Manage internship program, assist with programming, edit newsletters, moderate lectures, and catalogue collections. Routinely conduct research on county history, artifacts, and figures.
Prepared two historic houses for visitation daily, making sure financials were secure and sites invulnerable. Provided personally curated tours to guests hourly. Oversaw department members.
