Minghui Li

Minghui is a passionate architect and urban designer who seeks to make an impact in changing the world creatively, focusing on sustainability and the social environment. Her interests span various scales and typologies. Before working at 9XS Design, she worked as a project assistant, collaborating with the Institute of Sociology and Taubman College. There, she used models and animations to visualize and disseminate knowledge of the housing inequality problem and scenarios of initiative solutions in Detroit. She also has rich experience working on architecture and urban design projects in China. Her curiosity about the design world drives her to continually explore design methods and cutting-edge technologies while being committed to creating innovative and impactful solutions for urban and building challenges.

• Senior Students Urban Design- the University of Michigan Joint Design Workshop, Tianjin, China, 09/2018-12/2018, Participated in the joint urban design of the Hutong area in Xiguan Avenue, Tianjin with M.arch students of Taubman College. Earned selection as the Chinese undergraduate student representative to give the final presentation on Vertical Hutong urban design at Taubman College.
• Optimal Design of "Into the Palm" Villager Center (Fuqiang Village, Guizhou Province), Guizhou Province, China, 05/2018, Collaborated with students from multiple disciplines. Contributed to the addition and facade renovation of the building. Improved the site design to create a natural landscape open space.
• Beijing 798(Art Dist.) International Design Week Brick-Construction Design Award, Beijing, China, 09/2016, Collaborated to design "Virtual dimension" (Giant Brick-Construction of QR code). Managed the design and construction, as well as publicity material.
