• Provides care and education for high risk labor, antepartum, and postpartum patients on a 30 bed inpatient unit
• Evaluates fetal heart tracings throughout labor, manages pitocin titration and labor induction, performs intrauterine resuscitation including amnioinfusion, assists in vaginal deliveries
• Circulates in operating room, assisting in c sections and emergent obstetrical procedures including hysterectomies
• Triages patients, identifies obstetric emergencies, escalates care
• Delegates tasks in bridge role as assistant to charge nurse
• Manages magnesium sulfate drips, preeclampsia, insulin drips, gestational diabetes, postpartum hemorrhage, blood transfusions, chorioamnionitis, placental abruption, uterine rupture, shoulder dystocia, intra-uterine fetal demise
• Initiates newborn resuscitation, performs newborn assessments, identifies, escalates, and treats newborn hypoglycemia
• Precepts new nurses in Labor and Delivery.

• Collaborated with interdisciplinary team on a surgical ICU/SDU to provide quality evidence based care to critically ill patients with multiple comorbidities
• Performed blood draws and glucose testing on patients with arterial lines, tracheostomy care, sterile central line dressing changes, catheterizations, 12-lead ECGs, and head to toe assessments
• Participated in nursing care of patients on potent vasopresser drips, intubated patients, patients receiving continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), patients with gastric tubes, and patients with wound vacuum devices.

• Provided physically and developmentally disabled women with direct care, encouraged independence while maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and coordinated care with other direct support professionals and resident nurse
• Took a course to become registered AMAP (Approved Medication Assistive Personnel), to administer medications to residents.

• Provided family and caregivers with respite care in the emergency and trauma departments.
