Miranda LaChance

As Site Director for Foothills Park & Recreation District, I lead the planning, promotion, and oversight of recreation programs and facilities while driving community engagement and participation. I develop and maintain partnerships with local organizations, families, and community stakeholders to expand program visibility and increase enrollment. In this role, I serve as a brand ambassador by representing the district at community events, presentations, and outreach activities. I manage budgets and financial performance across multiple facilities, ensuring resources are strategically allocated to maximize community impact. In addition, I recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a high-performing culture that prioritizes customer service and relationship-building. Through strategic planning and collaboration with district leadership, I contribute to the launch of new initiatives, expand service offerings, and strengthen the district’s role as a trusted community partner.

As Assistant Director for the Before and After School Program at Prospect Valley Elementary, I supported program growth and daily operations by fostering strong relationships with parents, staff, and the school community. I served as a key point of contact for families, effectively communicating program details, addressing inquiries, and building trust through consistent and responsive engagement. I collaborated with the Program Director to manage scheduling, tuition collection, and staff development, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with district and state requirements. In addition, I promoted the program by creating engaging activities that enhanced student participation and by representing the program across multiple School Age Enrichment sites as needed. My role emphasized both operational management and relationship-building, ensuring families had a positive experience and the program maintained a strong, visible presence within the community.

As an Overnight Assessment Specialist at the Juvenile Assessment Center, I built and maintained strong relationships with law enforcement agencies and community organizations to ensure timely coordination of resources for youth and families in need. I conducted comprehensive assessments and interviews, collaborating with stakeholders to develop individualized intervention strategies that supported successful reintegration and positive outcomes. By providing crisis intervention and employing de-escalation techniques, I ensured families felt supported and connected to appropriate services. In this role, I acted as a bridge between families, community partners, and the juvenile justice system, fostering trust and collaboration while guiding families through complex processes. Additionally, I produced clear and actionable reports with tailored service recommendations, ensuring that decisions were informed, compassionate, and aligned with the best interests of the youth and their families.

As a Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader at MSU Denver, I facilitated collaborative learning sessions to help students succeed in a challenging behavioral neuroscience course. Leveraging my prior experience in the class, I built strong connections with students by guiding them through difficult material and encouraging effective learning strategies tailored to their needs. I partnered closely with faculty to design and deliver engaging weekly sessions that promoted academic growth, confidence, and peer-to-peer support. In this role, I served as both a mentor and resource connector, fostering an inclusive environment where students felt supported and motivated. My work emphasized relationship-building, community engagement, and empowerment—values that align with Kyo’s commitment to making every moment count for clients and teams.

As a Health Aide at Columbine Hills Elementary School, I provided comprehensive care and support to students with a wide range of medical and developmental needs, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this role, I worked closely with families, teachers, and district staff to ensure students received individualized care plans that promoted their safety, health, and overall well-being. I administered daily medications, managed health protocols for asthma, seizures, allergies, and concussions, and supported students with toileting and developmental needs with empathy and respect. Beyond physical health, I offered emotional support to students experiencing anxiety or stress, serving as a trusted and approachable resource for both students and parents. By maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating with nurses and educators, and advocating for each child’s needs, I helped create an inclusive and supportive environment where students could thrive. This role strengthened my ability to build meaningful relationships, respond to diverse needs with compassion, and collaborate with families and professionals—values that reflect Kyo’s commitment to client-centered care and community engagement.
