Collaborating with colleagues, community members, and others is vital to support and improve their experience while working with me. I believe that a successful environment relies heavily on clear communication. This involves keeping track of discussions, maintaining a respectful tone, and creating a friendly atmosphere to promote open dialogue. In my earlier years at school, I trained in various methods to ensure a high level of communication efficiency. These various methods were the implementation of group study and group work with my peers, which was encouraged by my instructors. As well as my leadership placements as Head of Costume for the Loretto Academy Theatre during my Junior and Senior years. I handled all forms and aspects of costume for the character, using my communicative and creative skills to create a successful performance. I relied on my peers as well to maintain equal work experience for them and myself. Another leadership role I experienced was being President of the National Art Honour Society, where I sought to maintain the society as being educated on most aspects of art and history and different activities that benefited the society and the community. I wanted the society to portray our city of El Paso and the Loretto Community in a bright figure by having our team paint a mural depicting our culture with our community. We also participated in a Halloween activity at the local children's hospital and collaborated with our catholic high school pair, Cathedral High School. In the years after graduation, I participated in many school activities at the University of Glasgow. I continued my passion for the arts of costume in theatre by joining and taking part in the university’s STAG society, where my peers and I collaborated with the actors to create their own ideal costumes to create a successful performance. We maintained a high-energy atmosphere, with high forms of communication and friendly confrontations. Here at the university, I have been and am presently collaborating with peers for group work and projects to continue my building experience. For my outside educational experience, I worked for three companies, two of which were food chain restaurants. Both had a high-paced environment, requiring me to create various types of food and beverages promptly to maintain a high level of efficiency. I believe my strongest skills stem from my part-time jobs as a barista, server, host, and receptionist, with 90% of my experience focused on customer service.
