I started work at the YMCA as a janitor and over the course of a year and a half I worked myself up to co-manager of the aquatics facility while also keeping the role of swim instructor and life guard. During this time I was attending an accelerated high school program where I completed the entire 11th grade curriculum in one semester and 12th grade in the next, setting me graduate a year early.
