• Overall, extremely dedicated employee with tremendous knowledge of the Home Health industry with over 15 years' experience in different roles within the same Home Health Agency
• Currently, responsible for oversight, direction, and supervision of entire Home Health Agency, which consists of 6 Clinical Service Supervisors, Clerical Staff, UM Reviewers, totaling 80+ clinical and non-clinical staff
• Responsible for conducting interviews and hiring clinicians, along with disciplinary action and corrections
• Accountable for auditing charts frequently, reviewing clinical documentation, including OASIS, to verify accuracy and completeness along with progress towards clinical indicators to ensure targets are being met
• Responsible for denials from all payors (including TPE audits directly from Medicare and/or Palmetto), reviewing the clinical record with tremendous detail, gathering all needed information from clinicians and/or staff involved in the patient's care, and appealing the denial (if appropriate)
• Immense knowledge of HomeCare HomeBase, both in the back office and in Pointcare; consistently help clinicians with technical support of HCHB and education of the EMR itself; have previously attended training in Dallas, Texas for training on how to master operations of the EMR, including modifying pathways, assessments, and forms within HCHB
• Oversee day to day operations of Home Health Agency
• Work closely with the AVP of Home Health Agency in financial planning, resource allocation, visit volume analysis, and providing direction for the provision of home health services
• Stay abreast of all changes in the Home Health industry, including interpreting/implementing any state or federal regulations, changes/updates to Conditions of Participation and OASIS items; Then, responsible for cascading this information to all clinicians through educational inservices or meetings.
• Have maintained the COS-C (OASIS certification) since 2015
