I am a fast learner, and am willing to challenge my ability to perform to the fullest of my potential. I am quick to learn and have an open heart to people. When given the opportunity to show my capabilities, it is a challenge for me to not only strive to prove to myself I am capable, but to not let the people down who has given me an opportunity. I am not perfect and will, make mistakes, but that is life's way of teaching the difference between right and wrong.
When I walked into Meridian, I walked in as someone who had been ripped apart by life choices, and walked out with self esteem, a feeling of accomplishment, and skills I did not realize I had.
I am still in the process of becoming a better version of myself and accomplishing and reaching goals, but I now know what I am capable of and am willing to give the most and the best of what I have.
I do have hands on training from Meridian, and I was taught so much. I would like to further my certification as grow. My main goal is to help people and pay it forward as I was helped throughout my hardest times in life. This means a lot to me.
When I started with Meridian, the only experience I had with the computer was turning it on and off. As I stepped through my learning process with Meridian, I learned how to use the Smart Care Program, which included setting up appointments for clients, keeping documentation of the progress each client made, care plans, one on ones, group meeting notes of each individual client, both personal conversations and group meetings. What I didn't know or understand, I was never afraid to ask questions nor was I afraid to explore the options that the Smart Care Program offered to make my work look more professional and relatable.
I do not have a college degree for any of the things I have learned, I have will and determination to learn whatever program is put in front of me. I did go to college in 2007 for Medical Transcriptions, but was unable to finalize my degree in the last semester due to things going on at that present time. But I do wish to, if given the opportunity as the Activity Director, want to further my education both as a Director and with my computer knowledge, it being it advances rapidly.
