  • Supervised 5 different entities and 5 different CEO's.
  • Opened the Quil Ceda Creek Counseling Center in 2023. The center provides medical alternative treatments for drug addiction for the community.
  • Worked with staff to write a grant to fund a 86 unit apartment complex for the Tulalip membership. Started construction in 2024 project will be completed at the end of 2025.
  • Negotiated with Washington State congressional body and the Department of Revenue to enter into a tax sharing compact. Tulalip will receive 100% of the State portion of all tax generated on the Tulalip Reservation.
  • Rewrote the education policy to a Lifelong Learning policy. This policy changed how we offered services and was more fluid for tribal students.
  • Research and educated myself on General Welfare than worked with the reservation attorney to write a general welfare code to implement tax-free tribal distributions.
  • Worked with and negotiated funding with NOAA to fund the repair of the hatchery and also funded the building of a lower pond hatchery.
  • Worked with Snohomish County to negotiate returning the ownership roads back to the Tulalip Tribes.

  • Reorganized the Tulalip Health System to ensure efficient, comprehensive and tailored services for the Tulalip tribal membership.
  • Instituted a training program for all employees, "Building Giants." Researched and implemented a "new" employee evaluation program.
  • Evaluated all existing programs and worked with Tribal Council to sunset programs, create new programs and also strengthen existing programs by updating policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Devised and presented business plans and forecasts to board of directors.

  • Rewrote the Child and Family Code, I built a team of experts in trauma, social work, attorney and a social scientist. We wrote a code that focuses on the healthy attachments, brain development and cultural values and identity.
  • Codified the code then trained all staff, tribal council and the State on the new code and how we will make active efforts to keep our tribal families together.
  • Wrote several grants and got 4 million dollars in funding from state, federal and private foundations.
  • Worked very closely with tribal families to build trust and relationships to reunify families.
  • Negotiated a compact with the State regarding access to state services for tribal placement families and tribal families.

Accomplishments

  • Critically analyzed all tribal programs with executive leadership team. Reviewed all operational costs and deliverables with that data. I directed and regulated the change management of the reorganization and the rewrite of tribal policies to modernize the delivery of services to the membership. This changed how we delivered services offering proficiency and effectiveness that reduced tribal government budget by $15 million dollars.
  • Researched and created the General Welfare Code. Instituted general welfare in 2020.
  • Reinforcing and exercising tribal sovereignty with federal, state and local governments and jurisdiction's.
