In April of 2022 I began teaching a short term pilot program partnering MNTC with Integris Medical. Integris selected employees within their healthcare system and sent them to MNTC to become trained and certified in Surgical Technology. The employee students were eligible to sit for the NCCT certification exam in December and we had a one hundred percent pass rate and were able to send eight certified surgical technologist into the workforce. In August we began our traditional program (twenty students) and seventeen sat for the NCCT and AST certification in May with a one hundred percent pass rate. Due to the success of the first program with Integris, we began our second group of employee students in January 2023 with eleven students finishing their didactic journey May 1, entering clinicals until September when they will be eligible to sit for the NCCT certification.
