Work History

Production Foreman / QAQC Foreman

Integrated Systems Group
07.2022 - 04.2025
  • At this Company we built Control panels such as remote IO, PLC panels and VFD panels. I started out on the production floor building panels then I moved to a lead position, then onto a Production Foreman where I helped coordinate between the warehouse where I received the parts needed to build the panels and my project manager, all the way to the testing QA/QC part of the shop. I was responsible for keeping a very specific email chain which at certain parts of the chain triggered people throughout the company to move and act depending on the sort of email that was sent depending on the stage of the panels. I was at this position for about a year and a half when I was asked to take over the QA/QC live power testing stage of the panels.
  • I was now the Quality Control Foreman, where I took the panels and went over every inch with a fine-toothed comb and inspected for mis wires or any work not done to ISO standard, once the mis wires were fixed and the issues were resolved, I then power tested them. using anywhere from 24VDC up to 480VAC. (using all the latest NFPA 70 standard practices and proper PPE, & LOTO) I tested Allen Bradley PLC cards, mostly their digital inputs and outputs. the ABB VFD's were hooked up to a motor where I ran them through a full functionality test, checking the internal contacts. I also loaded any of the latest firmware and parameters they were called to use. I ran this department for about a year and a half. I also received training on parameterization on the ABB VFD's. at this position I was also asked to be the company's manufactures technical representative for the UL 508a. I will be the MTR certified for the next 2.5 years until it expires.
  • - Managed daily production schedules to optimize workflow and meet high demand.
  • - Conducted regular training sessions for staff on quality assurance practices and procedures.
  • - Collaborated with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and resolve production issues.
  • - Implemented new quality control measures that reduced defects.
  • - Led a team of 15 in the manufacturing process, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Journeyman Electrician

Current Electric
01.2007 - 01.2015
  • Current Electric - Las Cruces, NM My career as a Journeyman electrician started here, 8+ years doing motor controls as an apprentice and finally after my 4 year apprenticeship program in the IEC and taking the state exam to become a Journeyman Electrician and receive my EE89-J. It was not the 3-part test that made me a journeyman but the field work I did, mostly Wastewater Treatment plants, Lift stations and Booster Stations, but also commercial buildings all over New Mexico and west Texas running underground for the 277/480v to the 120/208 for the outlets and lights but also the twisted shielded for the instruments such as flow sensors and pressure switches just to name a few. I learned about the installation of these instruments with the 4-20ma Analog inputs/outputs signals they used along with the digital inputs/outputs to the PLC. this would later be useful for short but knowledgeable career at ISG. Current Electric also later became a small UL 508A panel shop where we built these control panels in the shop and later installed them in the field. This experience helped me again at my time with ISG, they were also a UL 508A panel shop where I became the Manufactures Technical Representative. I will hold this certification for another 2 years. At Current electric we also did the work for AT&T, VERIZON, & T-MOBILE.
  • When we were “slow” at Current Electric, I also did take-off jobs for other companies, mostly commercial buildings, and spent my time understanding what a spec book is calling for and getting the best prices from vendors around the area. I built relationships with the vendors and learned the pricing and availability for the products they had to offer or were able to get on hand soon. this was an opportunity I learned that not a lot of company's offered, they had people do a lot of the work for you, but at Current Electric, this was just part of the job. I was constantly in contact with the job GC superintendent, the electrical engineer, state inspector and anyone else involved in the project, coordinating and scheduling the next moves to keep the project in the forward motion.
