- Works directly with government agencies during New York State regulatory audits, specifically NYS Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP)
- Acts as the Subject Matter Expert for metals analyses during inspections
- Maintains master list of controlled documents for the laboratory (SOPs, maintenance logs, Internal Deviation Investigations, etc) per Good Documentation Practice (GDocP)
- This includes continuous process improvement when maintaining and updating SOPs
- Executes Quality Investigations to identify any deficiencies within laboratory procedures, including failure to adhere to Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
- Generates Corrective Actions for any non-conformance and ensure all personnel involved are educated in changes made to laboratory procedures
- Continues to execute duties of Environmental Chemist/Microbiologist as needed.
