Responsible for the direct care of patients with varying acuity levels on a 14 bed unit with 5 labor and delivery, 3 triage, 4 postpartum, and 2 acute care nursery rooms.

• Effectively led teams of 6-8 professionals per shift as charge nurse.
• Revised four unit standard operating procedures to align with best practice guidelines.
• Precepted paraprofessionals during a 10 week rigorous orientation; provided training on labor process, delivery methods, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage, and couplet care.

Coordinated and provided direct nursing care with an 11 bed labor and delivery unit with 250-300 deliveries per month, 5 bed triage with 600-700 outpatient visits per month, 4 bed operation room, and 2 bed recovery room.
