- The sonographer like physician have to know the applied anatomy and the relation of the organs to each other as if it a private room and know more about the emberiology and development of the fetus and the precursor of the ligaments of the body , like falciform Round and median or paramedian ligaments for examples
- Have to know the courses of blood vessle where it descend and sloped where it bifurcate where it gives branches
- The sonographer have to know clinically that there is a pallor caused by chronic diseases and have to examine the kidney first
- Differentiates between hypovolemic and septic shock by accompanying fever or sweat and how to deal with And have the ability to react professionally and perform first aid procedures when urgently needed
- Rule of laboratory analysis like HTC VALUES and LEUKOCYTOSIS to differentiate hypovolemic and septic shocks
- The sonographer have to be systematic in first trimester scanning as he first see intradecidual excentric sign then double dicidual sign then yolk sac then CRL then heart beat and so on
- First trimester screening tests like hcg , papp-A materni T 31 plus and NT measurements and guidlines and 2nd trimester screening
- The ultrasound parameters suitable sequentially for every stage of fetal life MSD CRL HC FL BPD AC CORRECT BBT
- Assessment of FF either ascites Pus Exudate Blood moving clots and echoes
- Should know that FF in Douglas pouch may be physiological but in Morrison pouch not likely to be normal
- Differentiate between various types of CSF containing sacs of the fetal head
- Leading somatic abnormalities and syndromes of each chromosomal anomaly
- Have to imagine the 3D pattern the parts of the brain and midline structures by one sagital plane and also lateral structures by sequential axial planes
- Know when to do axial and sloped axial planes to measure some structures
- Do doppler for various vessles and ductus of the fetal and mother
- Know that the velocity of RBCs is not the target of using doppler but the target is the relation between RBCs velocities
- Know that the spectral doppler wave is wide due to different RBCs velocities and if it moves by the same velocity the wave will be curved line to look like the ECG Wave pattern , and know the spectral window
- The sonographer should take in mind physics artifact as mirror one and impression of twins in singleton pregnancy
