Additional Information

For several reasons, an apprenticeship program is the ideal next step in my IT career. While I have experience troubleshooting hardware and managing IT assets at Amazon, I'm eager to deepen my knowledge and gain exposure to a broader range of IT infrastructure technologies. The Google IT Apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to combine structured learning with hands-on experience in a world-class IT environment.

By the end of this 18-month program, I want to achieve the following:

  • I want to develop a deep understanding of networking, servers, cloud computing, and other core components of Google's infrastructure.
  • I plan to learn advanced troubleshooting methodologies and gain experience resolving complex issues in a large-scale IT environment.
  • I want to learn how to automate repetitive tasks, improve workflows, and contribute to the efficiency of Google's IT operations.

During my time at Amazon, I actively pursued opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills within the IT field. When I learned that Amazon paid tuition for its employees for IT certifications, I immediately enrolled in a CompTIA A+ course. This decision was driven by my passion for IT and my desire to learn hardware and software fundamentals and gain a recognized industry certification. I committed to over four months of rigorous virtual classes while working full-time.
Continually learning, building relationships, working with other teams, or cross-training are some of the most effective ways I grow my profession in the workspace.
