In addition, the National Parliament is tasked with selecting the ultimate number and boundaries of the autonomous regional states (officially, federal member states) within the federal Republic of Somalia.


I advocated for the rights of the Somali marginalized people in order that their voices be heard. As an MP, I was able to engage both the Government and the Minority Communities, including the Somali-Bantu, and clans including Madiban, Midgan, Gaboye, Eylo, and Yeber.


I was strongly fighting for their right of participation in the Somali political process. I also championed to dismantle social and work discrimination against these Somali marginalized citizens.

Accomplishments

As an Mp, I have achieved completion of my term very respectfully and honestly.


I have been advocating for the Somali Bantu local students who have dropped out from classes to be reconsidered to go back to their respective schools and some of them have successfully received scholarships from Ethiopian and Italian governments.


This was achieved by working with UN organizations and local NGO's in order to support the internally displaced people in Jubaland, State of Somalia.
