Roles And Responsibilities

  • Maintain aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
  • Responsible for the proper execution of parts tags attached to repairable, serviceable, or condemned parts.
  • Notify the respective Director of Maintenance of such orders in order to avoid any confusion when the related work will be performed.
  • Ensure that work areas are properly maintained, and that shop equipment, special tools and test equipment are returned to designated locations.
  • Report loss or damage of tools/equipment to the appropriate Director of Maintenance.
  • Initiate orders for new equipment/special tools and/or spare/replacement parts and assign them to an appropriate location.
  • Enforce company policies and regulations, ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain communications within area of responsibility, informing employees as to plans and progress and promoting teamwork and cooperation.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems.
  • Perform airframe and engine inspections.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report findings of discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Troubleshoot and perform needed repairs to airframe components, engines, and a variety of mechanical and hydraulic repairs to other aircraft accessories.
  • Understand and practice proper safety procedures.
