  • Provided construction inspection services for this project which consists of paving operations. In addition, oversaw the installation of a new steel lining (11-foot diameter segmented corrugated pipe) inside an existing culvert (12-foot diameter corrugated pipe), which consisted of multiple steel plate sections. These sections were carefully held and bolted together in a specific pattern to form rings within the existing culvert. Each ring of pipe had 9 sections with flanges, that were 18” inches wide, bolted together. Grout was then pumped in between the existing pipe and a new pipe gap to secure it and force the water into the new pipe. This culvert runs transversely under the New York State Thruway at MP 36.4.

  • This project provided for the replacement of the upper roadway of the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge, which carries 180,000 vehicles daily between Manhattan and Queens. This project replaced the roadway with lightweight orthotropic decking to reduce the overall bridge dead load and extend its service life. The scope included steel repair and replacement at various locations, painting, repairs to approaches, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) upgrades. Provided inspection of civil construction for conformance with contract documents and adherence to health and safety guidelines. Responsibilities included monitoring tasks such as the cutting and removal of existing roadway deck, remediation of floor beams, painting, and installation of new decking, steel sway frames, and subfloor beams.

Served as a liaison between NYCDOT and contractors and prepared and processed documents including shop drawings, transmittals, change orders, schedules, cost estimates, daily work reports, and meeting minutes. Attended negotiation meetings with NYCDOT and contractors to resolve discrepancies in payment estimates.
