• The internship year is a full-time house job with rotations in Internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, Emergency medicine, and an elective with a specialty of the intern's choice.
• As an intern, I was responsible for patient care, beginning with admitting the patient, obtaining medical history, physical examination, writing diagnostic workup and treatment plan, and writing discharge notes.
• In the on-call shifts, I was responsible for triaging the patients in the emergency department, assessment of emergency cases appropriately along with necessary resuscitation measures.

• Hands-on elective rotation, Gastroenterology, Ammar Hemaidan, MD.
• Participated indirect patient care in both inpatient and outpatient services. Took prime responsibility for patient care by taking medical history, performing physical examination, and writing orders under direct supervision from the house staff and the attending physicians.
• Took part in seeing patients in the urgent care clinic where I had the opportunity to manage the whole encounter with the patient, and relay all the information I managed to collect to the physician on-call.

• Observed direct patient care in both Respiratory institute and Medical intensive care unit. Strengthened my skills in taking medical history, performing physical examination, and writing orders by observing the house staff and the attending physicians.
• Shadowed qualified doctors to learn best practices and techniques regarding examinations, operations, and patient consultations.
• Attended daily morning seminars, noon conferences, and weekly Respiratory grand rounds.

• Participated in different projects within the International Federation of Medical Students' Association (IFMSA) including:
• Time management project as Team leader.
• Multiple National General Assemblies as Organizing committee.
• Attended different workshops to strengthen my medical knowledge and work ethic.

• Participated in the 'Health+' project organized by the Local Committee of AIESEC in Rzeszow. 'Health+' is directed to Polish kids, teenagers, and adults. The main goal of this project was to deliver cross-cultural spaces and workshops about a healthy lifestyle.
• The cross-cultural character of the project helped encourage the Polish society to take care of their health and prevent serious diseases in the future. It was also an opportunity for international volunteers to exchange their culture and values with the people they encounter.
• As a result, polish kids and teenagers showed tolerance and openness towards foreigners, knew how to take care of their health, provide a proper diet, and the importance of physical activities.
