  • Based in Royal Derby Hospital joining the consultants rota performing the majority of the in patients and clinics in Derby with regular sessions and outpatients clinics at RDH site/Queens Hospital in Burton site, with full participation in MDT structure.
  • Participate in the rota for care of the CCU inpatients and other wards.
  • Participate in a 1:6-10 consultant cardiology of the week and non resident on call rota (1:6), including 1:6 weekend cover.
  • Attends regular heart failure, Echo, Imaging and coronary MDT meetings at Burton and Derby with colleagues from tertiary centres.
  • Carry out general cardiology and heart failure clinics.
  • Carries out professional supervision and management and teaching of junior medical staff.
  • Participation in the clinical governance arrangements of the Trust & specifically within the Directorate including clinical audit, & research.
  • Regular imaging sessions, TOE, CTCA and stress echo.

  • During this period I have increased my expertise in the non invasive procedures doing hundreds of stress echo,dobutamine stress echo, TEEs and TTEs, my experience in preventive cardiology has gone to different heights.
