  • Students completed Pre Assessments for Physical Education courses, that cover the 4 Core Areas of Fitness: Flexibility, Strength, Core, and Cardiovascular Fitness.
  • Students use Pre Assessment results to create Weekly Fitness Goals they set at the beginning of the week, to improve upon one of the 4 Core Areas of Fitness.
  • Students complete Weekly Fitness Logs: each student logs in 3 hours of exercise/activity throughout the course of one week. The 3 hours of exercise must be distributed throughout at least 3 days of the week.
  • Effective Classroom Management: Provided clear rules and expectations, adhered to consistently enforcing rules and expectations, creating structured environment with designated areas for groups/teams. Reinforcing positive/good behavior and redirecting behavior when inappropriate/disruptive.
  • Taught Physical Education courses in which students discuss, research, learn about, and engage in a broad range of sports, activities, and exercise.
  • Complied with State of Hawaii Standards and Benchmarks for Physical Education.
  • Applied Hawaii Content & Performance Standards III for Physical Education: 1. Using Motor Forms: throwing, jumping, running, and balancing; to promote motor skills. 2. Applying Cognitive Concepts in performance of physical activities through understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics.
  • Promoting Safety in Physical Education through research and discussion of anatomy, kinesiology, sports science, and review of empirical and anecdotal evidence.
  • Application of anatomy and kinesiology to design safe and effective exercises.
