Summary
I was born in Yemen and first came to the United States in 2011 for a few months before returning and came back in 2015. I attended Woodworth Middle School in Dearborn at the end of seventh grade and all of eighth grade, then transferred to Fordson High School. While in eighth grade, I started working with my dad in his business, learning how to run a store, take orders, handle finances, and manage daily operations. I worked with him for nine years, which taught me responsibility, work ethic, leadership and how to communicate with people. I also worked as a chauffeur driver and in amazon company, packing and delivering orders. In 2024, I applied to the City of Dearborn to become a police officer. Although I scored under 70% on my interview, it did not stop me from pursuing my dream of serving my community. I later joined the City of Melvindale Police Department, attended Schoolcraft College, completed FTO, and have been working independently, putting in overtime and always helping my teammates and community. I have nearly ten months of perfect attendance, always available even on my days off, and my ultimate goal is to serve the City of Dearborn—the city and community that welcomed me and helped raise me.
