I place and connect pipe of different sizes and materials such as PVC, and Ductile Iron.

I operate equipment such as pavement breakers, jackhammers, chain saws, tampers, clay spades, and demo saws.

I operate Dump trucks, Utility trucks, and occasionally a backhoe to load the dump truck.

I also have trained new employees about the job and how to do the job safe and effective.

I was on a crew where we had to cut and replace a 60 inch valve at a pump station with a additional crew and use outside resources such as shoring boxes, and cranes to take out the old valve and put in the new valve, it took about 3 weeks to complete the job.

Use a variety of tools and resources including electronic pipe locator, measuring wheel, E-maps, and GIS system to locate water mains, conduits and service lines.

I work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, I also go on call for nights, weekends, holidays.

Assist in the maintenance of buildings, drains, and sewers.

clean and maintain unrestricted passage of water through canals, ditches, and other conveyances.

Preform maintenance on hydrants, and valves. Clean the utility truck as needed including shovels, ladders, hand tools, and power tools.

I also had to order and pick up materials for jobs, and place barricades at job sites.
