• Combat casualty care for trauma, blast, and gunshot wounds, Emergency department trauma resuscitation and stabilization (Level I/II trauma protocols)
• Tactical triage in mass casualty incidents, Emergency room triage using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) or similar acuity tools
• Airway management including ET intubation, supraglottic airways, and BVM ventilation, ICU/ER airway stabilization, intubation assistance, ventilator initiation
• Hemorrhage control with tourniquets, hemostatic agents, and direct pressure, Acute bleeding management, massive transfusion protocols, and post-op bleed response
• IV/IO initiation in field and combat settings, Peripheral/central line initiation and maintenance in ICU/ER
• Chest decompression for tension pneumothorax, Emergency chest tube insertion assistance and post-placement monitoring
• Pharmacologic interventions including analgesics, sedatives, vasopressors, ICU vasoactive medication titration and ER rapid sequence intubation (RSI) support
• Vital signs & invasive monitoring interpretation, Continuous cardiac monitoring, arterial line interpretation, and hemodynamic assessment
• Evacuation coordination with medevac teams, Patient transfer coordination between ED, ICU, and specialty units
• Independent care in austere environments with limited resources, Critical thinking and autonomous decision-making in high-acuity patient care
• Training junior corpsmen in trauma and medical protocols, Precepting and mentoring new ICU/ER nurses and techs
