I have also taken PEPI (Physical Education Peer Instructor) twice, and I intend to take it again both semesters of my senior year. Work History

Hospitality Team Lead (Closing Shift Manager)

Chick-fil-A
Apex, NC
06.2023 - Current
  • I started working at Chick-fil-A Apex in June 2023. I received a promotion to Certified Trainer in November, and was assigned to train new employees on Front-of-House procedures, rules, and general tasks. In February of 2024, I received another promotion to Team Captain. With this promotion, I am in charge of running closing shifts, delegating clothing tasks, and making sure the store is ready for the openers every morning. I worked on my training for months to ensure that I could deliver the best service and work into my new leadership role. Over the summer of 2024, I was promoted to Shift Lead, which gives me full responsibility for the night-time employees and closing staff. I am in charge of customer service interactions, phone calls, and store operations. I write the daily lineups for positions that employees take throughout the day. I have loved growing into leadership, and I am so happy that I am trusted to run such a great group of workers and to move towards faster Speed of Service and our Car Count Goal every day!
  • I am a member of the leadership development program at Chick-fil-A, where I have grown tremendously over the last year. I received promotions to certified trainer and, later, team captain, and am currently training to become a shift lead over the summer. I have loved growing my leadership skills while working with other kids my age and learning about the customer service side of the industry. I love my job in leadership because I get to help those on my night time and closing shift teams develop their own leadership skills to pursue management positions, and strengthen the company.

Volunteer Coach

Miracle League Of The Triangle
Cary, NC
04.2023 - Current
  • I have been a Coach at Miracle League of the Triangle for two years. On Saturdays during the season, our Special Needs baseball team plays a two-inning game against other teams in the organization. I work closely with players to work on physical tasks, and encourage fun playing and positive development. Every child has different needs and different abilities, and I always make an effort to equip each child with the tools that they need to be successful and have fun during the game. Whether that be Sign-language communication, hugs, or additional support, I love hanging out with the kids each week. Sports are for everyone, and it has been an amazing experience to assist the organization in their goals to advocate for accessibility, acceptance, and awareness.

Teen Advisory Board/ Clothing Drive Host

Note In The Pocket
Raleigh, NC
08.2022 - Current
  • I am a member of the Teen Advisory Board at Note in the Pocket, a non-profit that works with social workers across Wake and Durham counties to provide children in need with clothing care packages that can support them during the school year. I have been on the Board for three years, and I have gained so much real-world experience through the organization. I have over 100 hours of volunteer hours in their warehouse, sorting clothes, folding outfits, and creating meaningful packages for the children that we serve. I have also attended 3 Pocket “Pop-ups”, where we set up an outdoor “store” for impoverished communities and let the children pick out their clothing in person. We are outside all day for these pop-ups (usually a group of 4 workers), and we aim to serve 500 individuals each day. Additionally, I have independently hosted 3 clothing drives for the organization. My second drive that I hosted was a record drive for the organization, with a total collection of over 500 bags of clothing in under a two-week period. I gave speeches at my church in front of the congregations every week to increase awareness and support for the amazing cause that I am so passionate about. Additionally, I attend meetings with the rest of the Teen Board, where we work on public speaking and leadership skills, so that we are fully equipped to generate support and publicity for the non-profit, and for the children that we support.

PEPI

AFHS ECS Department
Apex, NC
  • I am about to start my second year of PEPI at Apex Friendship High School, which is a program where I use one of my class periods every day to participate in the ECS classrooms. I organize PE games for the students, and help them work on motor skills and teamwork. I also assist the teacher aides with the students in the classroom, running activities like Morning Meeting, crafts and dance parties. I also go with the students every day to help them pick out their hot lunch items, punch in their student ID numbers, and pay for their food. PEPI has been such a great experience to work closely with the Special Education department to grow my skills and encourage participation around the school.

Club Unify

Afhservers Services, An Askforhost Web Hosting
Apex, NC
  • As a member of Club Unify, I work closely with other student leaders at Apex Friendship High School to organize events and activities for the Special Education students at the school. We host craft times during lunch, dance parties in the courtyard, and host events for the students outside of school as well. I helped plan and run a Prom event for the ECS students, with a theme and decorations, so that the students have a space to be themselves and feel represented in the school community. Through Club Unify, I have grown closer with the ECS students at school, and I am so grateful for the bonds that this club has been able to create for me.

The Edge, The Way, Apostello

StMM Catholic School
Apex, NC
  • I have been a member of the Youth Ministry program at my church since I was in 7th grade. I have worked my way up in the program, and have really enjoyed working with other kids in my Parish, growing my faith, and having fun! I started in The Edge Program for 7th and 8th grade, with the Middle School ministry. I attended weekly meetings with my group on Zoom (Covid), and attended bonfires and other fun get-togethers. Starting in High School, I moved into The Way through the High School Ministry. I grew really close with my group members and got more experience to participate in community outreach and service projects. After my Confirmation my Sophomore Year, I made the decision to apply for Apostello, the program that teaches confirmed youth how to lead younger church members in their faith. I have enjoyed this program endlessly, because I love working with kids as a leader and growing my faith with others.
