A. Performs supervision, consultation, and coordination: 50%.
1. Oversees and monitors the work performance of Behavioral Health Specialists III and IV regarding the provision of School Based Behavioral Health services.
2. Responsible for evaluating the work performance of assigned staff, and for the completion of their performance appraisal within the required timeframe.
3. Monitor activities and services of staff for conformance to existing laws, policies, provisions, standards, and guidelines.
4. Takes corrective actions or steps to remedy nonconformance in order to comply with legal requirements.
5. Ensures that appropriate services are delivered to students by program staff.
6. Provides support to school staff and assists with referrals to other resources, as appropriate.
B. Provides program development and implementation: 10%.
1. Assist with program development, and the overall plan for the implementation of the program.
2. In consultation with other HIDOE staff, develops a community-based system of care in the assigned area.
3. Assists with the development and implementation of an evaluation strategy to effectively monitor and utilize resources in the assigned area.
C. Training Activities: 10%.
1. Provides parent and staff psychoeducation sessions regarding various mental health topics.
D. Provides direct services and ancillary duties: 20%.
1. Provides direct services on an as-needed basis.
2. May appear in court and testify as a witness.
3. May sign for Medicaid reimbursements.
E. Prepares and maintains student records and reports: 5%.
1. Prepares and maintains assigned student case records to include progress notes.
2. Insures the confidentiality of assigned student records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
3. Prepares correspondence, case reports, and other required records in accordance with established procedures.
4. Prepares regular progress reports for assigned students in accordance with established policies and procedures.
5. Enters data on delivered services into the data management system, such as eCSSS, in accordance with established procedures.
