Pts was a packaging area, where some of the parts that were made up front would come back to pts and they would get packaged and sent out.
The job as utility- To make sure that every machine running from a general press to auto presses as well as a hinge line had everything the needed Box wise. Boxes from size 3" 4×12, 7×12, 10×12, 12×12 were made.
- I taped up certain machines boxes so they could stay productive running there machines.
-FIlled bins with 18 gauge tubes so that the hinge line that ran 18 gauge hinges never had to run out or stop there presses.
- Wrote down on a white bored what jobs each hinge line was running so that the toe motor drivers new what to supply next for each hinge line - Example- pts, gaylords, boxes, barrels, haas bins.
Barring presses- take a barring and press it into a 8, 11, 12 gauge piece of steel.
* 2 Examples: cbs 11 gauge 12 gauge steel parts. F.e.b 11 and 12 gauge steel parts. All in which you put a barring down the steel on top and press it between 2 dyes
Steel bending presses- I'd take 8 11 12 gauge pieces of steel form it and bend it to fit whatever order the customer asked for.
- examples: I formed sandwich stiles-forming 18 21 24 inch pieces of steel into said part
I formed 8 and 11 gauge USA into left and right hands. E.b.fs 8 and 11 gauge into left or right hands. All which you put between 2 dyes and press it.
Rivet machines- riveting 2 steel parts together
-examples: outside hook ups and gussets
Vertical angle and 9/14 plate steel, bb100 multi holes, sbb1.
Hinge assembling press- I would but 11 gauge tubes on a bottom dye plate assemble a leaf and universal together to where the holes line up and slide those onto the tubes and press them forming a hinge.
Assembly table- I would put together commercial regulars at a table which consisted of a base slide put together by a nut and bolt. Making the part called a commercial regular.
Tape e.p.s steel- 21 3/4 inch steel which I would take a long double sided tape measure it out to fit the steal and press it on there.
As a stainer at therma tru doors ware house my responsibilities consisted of, staining doors with the correct stain, inspect and transfer them into a large heater to dry. After drying I would reinspect them to make sure there were no missing stain spots.
