- Leads Safety Care trainings for New Hires across the hospital
- Coordinates and instructs Safety Care Fidelity Program to improve safety metrics for both staff and patients
- Trains and mentors new hires across the unit
- Supervises re-structuring and writing of Spanish manual
- Develops and implements instructional overview of job duties for staff new to unit
Responsible for:
-Teaching group therapy to minors on the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit to support mental health understanding and how to implement tools and skills needed to navigate uncomfortable situations
-Connects with caregivers and familiarizes them with group therapy curriculum in order to build a cohesive support network and supportive transitioning back to home environment
-Supports and coaches minors throughout the day by helping them build independent coping mechanisms and skills to manage and care for their unique mental health challenges
- Reaching out to community to set up collaborative projects focused on creating a wholistic approach to acculturation and mental health
- Working with community schools, businesses, churches, museums to provide support to patients along with opportunities for involvement and integration within the community
- Being part of Clinical Team to create effective programming to support therapy objectives
- Participating in interview and hiring process for direct care staff
