After applying to SORL in January of 2023, I was given the opportunity to be in the Management Experience program (new) so that I may gain added value experience in a management role first. My assignment is to lead a Total Store project that positively impacts departments throughout our entire store with the intention of reporting out in my SORL interview with my Regional Talent team.
An in-store Partner that consistently leads and executes all onboarding, training and career planning efforts for hourly Partners. Since the onset of the role, I have been able to drive an increase of 18% in Onboarding Completion, and 25% in Total Store Training Completion. I have also been able to lead monthly in-store Talent Planning sessions for my Store Leaders and I to assess the talent within our store, identify potential and create developmental plans for 8 SORM candidates, and 3 SORL candidates. I also serve as coverage for my current store as needed.
Supported our Hourly Non-Management talent development team with the launch of the Career Coach role.
This pilot project was initially introduced to me by Patricia Lima in the early part of the year. I shared with her my ideas and was then handed off to closely collaborate with Jamie Bradford and Lisa Hamilton's team to continue supporting the launch.
I was hired as a CSA and quickly transitioned on to Checker, Business Center, Bookkeeping, Service Admin, Admin Specialist, and FT- Acting M.I.C. I was also able to temporarily assist SA21 and SA08 in their Admin departments per Tad Lukehart and Nancy Howards request. Additionally, during my M.I.C. experience, I was able to gain hands on experience in other stores that needed coverage during team outing dates and/or other special events.
