• Johnson County Public Health, IA, 01/01/19, 05/01/19, Program Evaluation Intern, Performing literature review to identify evidence-based best practices of school-based dental sealant programs. Improving the sustainability of the I-smile @School sealant program at Johnson County, Iowa by performing needs assessment. Performing program evaluation to identify the effectiveness this program using data from the Iowa Dept. of Public Health’s secure network to develop a study model using SAS and R. Assisting dental hygienists in providing oral hygiene instructions and demonstrating sealant applications on model teeth prior to the services provided. Developing educational materials for the children to take back with them once the services are provided.
• Kigezi Healthcare Foundation (KIHEFO), Kabale, Uganda, 06/01/18, 06/30/18, Recipient of $5000 Global Public Health grant from The University of Iowa College of Public Health, Shadowed and practiced clinical dentistry in the clinics and outreaches. Conducted dental outreach programs in rural villages and explored the linkage between traditional and modern dental care. Took a lead role in doing a literature review discussing the Oral Health in Uganda as a part of my project and, presented findings in written reports to include in their newsletter.
• International Dental Public Health, Pondicherry, India, 07/05/18, 07/20/18, Recipient of $3000 grant from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Field trips to villages and door to door oral cancer screening. Oral health screening for transgender community/Gypsy tribal group. Special children oral health screening, delivery of emergency, palliative and primary dental care at the program and classroom oral health education. Oral health screening education and treatment program at Government Higher Secondary School. Conducted oral health screenings and assisted in collecting data for ongoing research studies. Assisted in oral health promotion and oral cancer prevention, by making pamphlets and brochures for the under-served populations.

• Student Research Group, University of Colorado, Elected to represent the international class and serve the board of Student Research Group at the school of dentistry for 2 years. Helped students procure research opportunities within the school and also helped organizing research group events within the school of dental medicine.
• American Student Dental Association – ASDA, Participated as an active member of the district 9 ASDA. (2023, 2024) Attended multiple ASDA organized events by the school and engaged with eminent people of the American Dental Association (ADA).
• Colorado Dental Association – CDA, Active member of the Colorado dental association. (2023, 2024)
• International collaboration with The University of Iowa, As the recipient of Global Public Health travel to Uganda, I took a leadership role in collaborating the university with Kigezi Healthcare Foundation, Uganda. Due to these collaborations, many students took the opportunity to sign up for the same internship.
• Iowa Public Health Association, Member for 2 years. Participated in numerous seminars and webinars during this time.
• Diabetes summit, Annual meeting for public health professionals around the country. Organized by Midwestern Public Health Training Center in collaboration with Iowa Department of Public Health. Over 150 public health professionals (including dieticians, doctors, nurses) attended this conference in 2018 and 2019 in Des Moines, IA.
• Indian Dental Association, IDA, Member for 7 years (2010-2016). Took part in organizing school and regional events under Dr. Karthik Shetty, director of the regional IDA branch.
• Dental Camps, Took a lead role in organizing dental camps while on clinical rotation in the Dept. of Public Health Dentistry for final year students at my dental school. Helped organize dental camps in identified hard to reach communities with Kigezi Healthcare Foundation (KIHEFO).
