Experienced Engineer, Fabricator and Machinist in creating high-quality precision parts for range of industrial sectors. Organized in set-up, operation and maintenance of diverse fabrication equipment. Highly motivated and able to work independently or as part of team.
Responsible for the direct supervision of represented employees working design, engineering, fabrication, machining and production of one-off custom cars and motorcycles.
Responsible for the direct supervision of represented employees working on the BMW G05, G06 and G07 liftgate production.
Responsible for the direct supervision of represented employees installing the BMW G05, G06 and G07 production line. Worked with Mechanical, Electrical, Air and Water, Robotic and PLC teams to install production line to specifications.
Assembled tooling and fixtures to blueprint for the PACCAR Trucking line: (Backwall, Floorpan, RT Door, LT Door). Preformed final inspections on all fixtures before release and installation in line.
Lead, on-site, machinist for the G05 Body-In-White production line. Machined needed replacement parts for the initial start up of the entire G05 line. Also modified existing tooling to accommodate needed changes to achieve desires dimensions. Created blueprint drawings for modified tooling for future replacement parts.
Worked with a team of engineers to design and fabricate hundreds of prototype parts. Worked with AutoCAD for concept drawings and assembly designs. Often machined, welded and fabricated first time parts myself to achieve deadlines for customers.
Worked directly with graduate students to create tooling for experiments. Students would have an idea for an experiment they wanted to conduct but no way to hold the material they wanted to test. Students would bring me the material, tell me how they wanted to hold it and in what way the wanted to move said material during the experiment. I would then create a fixture to conduct the experiment. Most experiments were conducted in semi-conductors or in an MRI machine. Therefore, no magnetic materials could be used in most experiments.
Also, worked with outside departments to machine and fabricate other parts as needed.
