• Handed out candy and got to know the Hispanic/Latinx community of Western Michigan while also showing to the children our doctor inspired halloween costumes

Hispanic Center of West Michigan monthly food distributions

• Work alongside the Hispanic Center to distribute food to over approximately 1,100 families each month in the Grand Rapids area

Hispanic Center of West Michigan Feria de Salud

• Provided blood pressure readings and education on follow up appointments and blood pressure control for health prevention

Fit Kids 360

• 96 hours
• Taught and participated in four seasons of Fit Kids 360 where we work with children who are at risk of obesity or malnutrition to teach them how to eat in a healthier and sustainable way and to promote an active lifestyle given their circumstances

Fit Kids on the Move

• 24 hours
• Working with previous Fit Kids 360 participants to renew their love for an active style through running a 5k at the end of an 8 week program

Alzheimer’s Association Medical English Classes

• Provided Latinx english learners at all levels the opportunity to learn medical language and diagnoses in English in order to be able to adequately communicate with their physician
