Being involved at work taught me good leadership skills and made me reliable. Working with horses helped me to think quickly and showed me how important repetition is so I can see results.

I began taking horseback riding lessons at the age of 7 and as a teen, I learned to train horses for a variety of different things. Training them has allowed me to better understand how they think and react to different environments and methods. I have been able to learn a lot of new things while also training the horses.
In 6th grade, I joined the C.C. Riders 4-H Club so I could show my horses at the county fair. As I got older I began to take on more roles in the club. In my senior year, I was elected to be the president of the club, which meant I would be running the club meetings and be a role model to the kids in that club. Being a part of 4-H showed me how important it is to serve your community and it helped expand my knowledge of farming and caring for other livestock.
