I was excited to find out that you are hiring at Westerville Veterinary Clinic, and was hoping to be considered for the position. I aspire to work my way up to a registered Veterinary Technician, I hope this job will help me to gain knowledge and sharpen the skills that would allow me to thrive in the field. While I may not have any prior Veterinary Assistant experience, I have been surrounded by animals my whole life and would love the opportunity to work professionally around them as well. Between my mother being a veterinarian and my involvement in owning, riding, and caring for horses. I am comfortable around animals of all sizes. Though no formal experience, I have been assisting my mom with our animals for the last few years. Whether it was helping to restrain our dogs or cats for shots and nail clippings, cleaning ears, or administering our senior dog’s insulin injections, I strive to have the opportunity to help animals and assist their caretakers.
I have been riding and showing horses for thirteen years. I showed in 4H for majority of my youth career. Now I show at open and breed shows as an adult. I still have my involvement with 4H as I mentor younger kids and help them show their horses. I have always leased horses in my past because of the cost of owning one. In the past five years I have had the opportunity to own and care for my own. She was intended to be a project for my last year in 4H she is now my show horse.
