I am a sophomore at San Jacinto Community College majoring in Social and Behavioral Science. I plan on attending Sam Houston State University and moving onto Texas A&M Law afterwards to become a prosecutor who specializes in Family Law and women's rights cases. I applied to Chick-fil-A straight out of high school and have worked there ever since. While in school, I work full-time as an Area Lead. I love working alongside others who can challenge me and make me laugh. I do not just work to earn a paycheck; I work to feel a sense of purpose and because I want to stay busy. If the chance to expand my set of skills presents itself, I will take it. I appreciate any opportunity to share my knowledge on topics that interest me and am always up for learning something new!
Working for Chick-fil-A has required me to take charge when I am on shift. I am given a great deal of responsibility and am tasked with holding myself, as well as others, accountable for how the business operates. As an Area Lead, it is my duty to ensure each individual in the workplace is performing with maximum efficiency. I am to oversee how each team member upholds their assigned position and offer solutions to issues that may arise. my time with Chick-fil-A has rewarded me a set of valuable skills useful to my future career path. I have learned how to step up and lead a team of motivated employees as well as how to shape new hires into an asset to the company. managers and directors I work beside have guided me and taught me how to properly confront others and take charge when I see fit. I can communicate in a clear, concise manner and face difficulty head first without breaking into panic.
At Domino’s, being a customer service representative means having the pleasure of helping assist customers and make orders. CSRs must work well with others, be able to problem solve, work under pressure, and be quick and efficient with each and every task they perform. When I was a CSR, I learned how to stretch dough in many forms, sauce, cheese, and top a pizza along with make different side dishes such as pasta and sandwiches. I was given the responsibility of answer the phones and using computers as well as tending to customers in the lobby and drive thru. Along with preparing orders, I took them, both over the phone and in person. Taking payments in cash and card was something that took place daily, and I always greeted the customers as they entered the store. During each shift, it was important that cleaning took place when there was a chance, and at the end of each shift, each employee was given a chore to complete before clocking out. I’m my experience, I learned many helpful tips on how to handle different situations including how to stay calm rather than panic and how to be a leader in times of need. I enjoyed training new team members and took pride in my role at Domino’s.
