Driven by a passion for excellence and a knack for leadership, I honed my skills in training and customer relations at Chick-fil-A and Domino's Pizza Inc. Mastering critical thinking and effective communication, I led teams to surpass goals, ensuring unparalleled guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. My journey reflects a commitment to growth and the ability to inspire others towards achieving excellence.
Working at Chick-fil-A, I was able to participate in team-building exercises, move up to new positions through training and persistence, and acquire new skills effective throughout the workplace. Working at Chick-fil-A taught me how to overcome challenges and take charge during stressful situations and unfavorable conditions. From June 2022 to July 2023, I was positioned as a Team Member whose role consisted of serving guests, order taking, handling money and computers, preparing food and beverages, cleaning in and around the store, stocking frequently used items, as well as running orders out to tables in the dining room and vehicles in the drive-thru. During July 2023, I became an Area Leader whose role was to support managers and act as a second set of eyes and ears to ensure shifts ran smoothly. In addition, my job was to train new hires and see to it that they confidently conquer each position before moving on and learning the next, assign tasks to Team Members when necessary, answer the store phone, problem solve and assist coworkers or guests as difficult situations arose, and oversee closing at the end of the night.
Chick-fil-A prides itself on quality customer service and creating an environment where the community feels safe to eat and unwind. Chick-fil-A has a set of values that help the company reach their goals and hire qualified personnel. These values include: investing, community, stewardship, growth, and excellence. While working with them, employees were encouraged to engage with guests and practice maintaining eye contact, sharing a smile, speaking in a friendly tone, and always saying, "My Pleasure!" Furthermore, it was expected that we extend genuine hospitality and fast and accurate service to all guests and ensure a clean and safe environment was maintained throughout the restaurant.
These values and standards highlighted the importance of going above and beyond and the rewarding experience that comes with making someone's day. I learned that there is more to work than clocking in and out. It was pivotal that I focus on working toward a greater purpose in order to achieve growth and accomplishment, which I began to understand within my time at Chick-fil-A.
Here is what people have to say about Chick-fil-A employees:
At Domino's, being a customer service representative means having the pleasure of helping assist customers and make orders. CSRs must work well with others, be able to problem solve, work under pressure, and be quick and efficient with each and every task they perform. When I was a CSR, I learned how to stretch dough in many forms, sauce, cheese, and top a pizza along with make different side dishes such as pasta and sandwiches. I was given the responsibility of answering the phones and using computers as well as tending to customers in the lobby and drive thru. Along with preparing orders, I took them, both over the phone and in person. Taking payments in cash and card was something that took place daily, and I always greeted the customers as they entered the store. During each shift, it was important that cleaning took place when there was a chance, and at the end of each shift, each employee was given a chore to complete before clocking out. I'm my experience, I learned many helpful tips on how to handle different situations including how to stay calm in the midst of a rush and how to be a leader in times of need. I enjoyed training new team members and took pride in my role at Domino's.
